Villa Le Palmier is on the edge of the charming village of Margon. Margon is a traditional french village, with its own Chateau and is surrounded by the local vineyards. The charming villa sits in a large landscaped garden with a swimming pool, several terraces to relax on and comfortably sleeps 6 people.
Villa Le Palmier is just 10 minutes from the medieval town of Pezenas, and 25 minutes to the coast, so is a perfect base for exploring this fabulous region.
Villa Le Palmier - Our Opinion
Last visited: November 2020. If you are looking for an affordable villa, then this lovely villa in Margon ticks all the boxes.
The villa is located in a quiet residential area, which is an easy walk into the centre of the village. Margon is a nice Languedoc village which is surrounded by vineyards and lovely views of the Black Mountains in the distance.
The beaches are under 30 mins away and the historic town of Pezenas is just 10 mins drive.

Villa Le Palmier is located on the edge of Margon, an historic village built around the impressive Chateau. There are 500 inhabitants in the village. The village boasts its own bar/restauarant/epicerie and a wine cellar. Margon is located in the heart of Languedoc´s splendid wine growing region.
There is a wealth of things to do and see within one hour, including: seaside beaches, mountain walks or cycling in wooded hillsides, wine tasting, Cathar castles, local village festivals and superb markets.
The historic town of Pezenas, is just 10 minutes away. The ancient villages of Roquebrun and Olargues are located up in the Orb valley. St Guilhelm le Desert, offers a lovely day trip - combining canoeing for the children and lovely restaurants for the adults. The Canal du Midi, Carcassone and Montpellier are all within one hour of the Margon.
Other transport
There is a TGV train station in Beziers. A regular bus service runs between Beziers and Pezenas.

Perfect week away
We enjoyed the villa, it got plenty of sunshine yet kept cool inside. Well equipped and comfortable and the pool was great. Margon is a pretty french village and just a short drive to Pezenas and the coast.
