This charming waterfront apartment is located in the coastal town of Marseillan, in the Languedoc region of the South of France. It overlooks the Etang de Thau, the largest of a string of lagoons that stretch along the French coast from the river Rhône to the foothills of the Pyrennees. The apartments have been converted from an ancient wine store and each has a sunny terrace with seating and tables. There are two bedrooms sleeping 4 people comfortably. These waterfront apartments in Marseillan are ideal for 1 or 2 couples or a small family. You can walk to the many restaurants, cafes and shops surrounding the old harbour within minutes. There are extensive water-sports on the doorstep and it´s a short drive or cycle ride to the endless sandy beach at Marseillan Plage.

Marseillan is a very pleasant and attractive small town, one of the few remaining unspoilt harbours in the South of france, lying close to the sea but not on it. These luxury apartments are located very close to the lovely historic port area, which has shops, restaurants and the very interesting Noilly Prat distillery.The fine sandy beach is just 10 minutes away by car.
A wide range of water sports is available at several coastal resorts in the region, including sailing, scuba diving, wind surfing etc. A very good golf course is located at Cap d´Agde.
There´s a wealth of things to see and do in this area. For example in Sete you can see the water jousting tournaments in July and August. Alternatively you can hire a boat at various locations on the Canal du Midi, A day to trip to Pezenas is always worthwhile. This is a fascinating place full of history and was where Moliere wrote some of his plays. For nightlife and nightclubs visit Cap d´Agde.
The market in Marseillan is held on a Tuesday morning. Sunday is the day for the flea market at Marseillan Plage. There are many lovely restaurants for you to enjoy in Marseillan Port and you can find more details of these at the Reception desk. Seafood is a local speciality and should be tried and enjoyed! There are many small shops in Marseillan including a supermarket. You will find a larger hypermarket in Agde or in Sete.
Other transport
You can take the Eurostar from London via Lille or Paris. You can then catch the TGV to Montpellier or Agde (about 10 mins away by car).

Driving directions
From the north coast of France it is approximately 620 miles to Marseillan by Autoroute, with a driving time of around 10hrs (can be driven in a day). The Toll Free A75 takes you from Clermont Ferrand, on a beautiful drive through the Mountains, via the spectacular Millau viaduct. It is a great drive all the way down to the Mediterranean.
