This lovely holiday rental apartment comes with 2 bedrooms and a large balcony overlooking the pretty harbour. The apartment is situated in a small apartment building with secure access and an elevator. The apartment is on the second floor and enjoys great views of the boats and across the Etang du Thau, a large salt-water lake separate from the sea by a thin strip of beach.

Last visited: January 2020. Meze is a lovely town to visit at any time of year. This apartment is located right in the heart of the action on the harbour front. There are plenty of bars and restaurants within walking distance. The apartment is located on the second floor, so you are not disturbed by noise and you have the perfect advantage point for people-watching from the balcony. Inside the apartment is very clean and well-equipped and is suitable for a couple or small family.

This harbourside apartment is located in the coastal town of Meze, which is a popular tourist resort in South France. Meze is situated slightly inland on the banks of the Etang de Thau, a salt-water lake with sandy shores. The Etang de Thau Basin is a lagoon separated from the sea by a narrow stretch of sand. The Etang is famous throughout France for producing some of the best oysters and mussels and around a third of the inhabitants of the town are still involved in the cultivation and selling of seafood.
Meze is a charming harbour town full of restaurants, bars and shops. It comes as no surprise that the main streets in Meze are lined with stalls selling the very freshest shellfish. With beautiful surrounding countryside and a mountain backdrop, the Mediterranean beaches are just a few kilometres away.
This extraordinary town is also famous for its remains fossilized dinosaur eggs which were discovered only a few years ago on the road to Montagnac. There is now a museum situated in a large natural park which extends over 36 kilometres. You can walk through a 12 acre pine forest and travel back millions of years viewing all sorts of exhibits including a skeleton of a giant Brachiosaurus which was unearthed here.
The coastal town of Sete and the cosmopolitan city of Montpellier are both a short drive away and both contain an array of shops, museums and sites.

Fantastic !
What a lovely surprise to arrive somewhere and find it to be even nicer than you expected, delightful property perfect location, well stocked cupboards with plenty of crockery cooking utensils glasses etc as well as herbs,spices and other cooking essentials. The local square is a really lovely place for morning coffee and the twice a week market a must. The harbour and beach are both lovely places to hang out in the evening. We will definitely be back.

The perfect apartment
We hadn`t heard of Meze before we booked the apartment but loved the place. It`s a smallish town but with a lovely marina and beaches on the Etang de Thau. Lots of very good restaurants along the marina and beaches. The apartment was perfect, great balcony overlooking the marina, small but well-equipped kitchen, and good living space. The apartment is mere steps away from the beach which is clean and family oriented. Sue, the owner, was very helpful and helped us organise transport to and from the airport (we flew into Bezier and there is no easy public transport route). We didn`t want to hire a car but managed perfectly well with the excellent bus service and went to Sete, Beziers and Pezanas - all with plenty to do and see. We also walked along the Etang to the nature reserve where we saw black winged stilts. There are a couple of medieval buildings in the town and a Roman villa in the next village. It was a perfect, relaxing holiday in a lovely place. We are planning to go back both to Meze and the apartment.

25% non refundable deposit required upon booking. Balance due 8 weeks prior to arrival. An access key for the apartment building will be posted to you 2 weeks prior to arrival. €200 security deposit returned upon inspection of the apartment and return of the access key (normally within 14 days of departure). Reservations are for Friday to Friday.
