Chateau de la Verriere is composed of three buildings connected around an inner courtyard. Together they provide over 800m² of living space with 4 common lounges, 2 kitchens, 12 bedrooms and 11 bathrooms. Surrounding this French Chateau there is 132 hectares of land, made up of vineyards, parkland, forests and private footpaths. You arrive at the Chateau down a long 1 km private driveway. Beside the driveway there is an aqueduct that brings fresh mountain water to the Chateau.

You enter the Chateau into the inner courtyard. This is a pleasant space to hang out with some shade. Surrounding the courtyard you will find 3 main buildings:

Southern wing

This is a two storey building featuring a large kitchen, lounge, and 3 bedrooms (2 en suite). One of the bedrooms has a secluded private terrace.

• The main kitchen of the Chateau features an 8 metre dining table (to seat 28 guests), 2 range cookers, dishwasher, American fridge-freezer and plenty of cooking utensils, plates and glasses.
• Just off the kitchen, there is a terrace where everyone can gather for a pre-meal drink.
• The lounge is a comfortable space of 50m2, with plenty of sofas, armchairs and wood burning stove.

East wing

This is a three storey building comprising most of the sleeping accommodation. On the ground floor there is a summer kitchen and a double bedroom.

• The bedroom is located in the former stables, with an arched ceiling.
• Adjoining the bedroom there is an enormous bathroom with free-standing bath, toilet and wash basin.
• Steps from the courtyard take you up to the first floor. You arrive in a large lounge area with plenty of sofas and armchairs.
• On this floor there are 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms (2 en suite). A wooden staircase takes you up from the lounge to two further double bedrooms and a bathroom.

West wing

This features the largest lounge we have ever seen!

• The lounge comprises 135m2 of space and comes with curved ceiling arches, exposed stone walls and a beautiful travertine tiled floor. The lounge provides access onto a walled garden at the front of the Chateau.
• There is also a bathroom adjoining the lounge.

Outside

From the inner courtyard you have access to a large terrace and large walled garden. This is the main entertainment area and it is large enough to accommodate a wedding reception, party or impromptu football or rugby match. The terrace has an enormous patio table which can seat 30 guests. The Chateau has two fresh water swimming pools, both located within the grounds. Both swimming pools have secure fencing to prevent younger guests from accessing them without an adult present. Surrounding both pools there are large sun terraces with sun loungers and chairs.

There is an on site guardian who lives in a cottage on the estate. He will ensure that you have everything that you require for an unforgettable stay. 

Chateau for rent South France - What´s Included

The rental prices for this French Chateau in Southern France are weekly and include linen & towels for 15 people/6 bedrooms. If you have a larger group and wish to use the full capacity of the 12 bedrooms at the Chateau additional linen and towels can be hired at €18 per person. . Please contact us for total price.

The Chateau can also be rented for weekends between April and October (not 13 July to 18 August). The weekend rate is 50% of the seasonal price.
