Villa Colibri is a fabulous 1 bedroom villa located on the edge of the popular French town of Sommieres, South France. It comes with a large swimming pool and a private hot tub/jacuzzi. Sommieres is a wonderful old French town, close to Montpellier and Nimes and just a short drive to the Mediterranean beaches. There is a large market every Saturday and plenty of restaurants shops and cafe-bars.

The villa comes with Wifi, air conditioning and is decorated to a very high standard throughout. The villa to rent in Sommières is ideal for a couple or friends sharing together.

Last Visited June 2019 - This is a very well equipped French villa to rent for a couple or a group of friends (there is also another Villa for 4 people and a studio apartment for 2 people at the same premises). The pool area and sun terrace are shared with other guests, but the villa does come with its own private terrace and garden with your own Jacuzzi. You have the choice of spending time time in complete isolation or chatting with other guests by the pool or over a barbecue. The lovely Owners are on site to make sure that your holiday goes without a hitch and to advise on the best sites to visit and some wonderful local wines.

These French villas to rent are located in the picturesque town of Sommieres. Sommieres is beautiful medieval Southern French town, which offers plenty of sightseeing activities. One of Sommieres´ key features is it´s Roman bridge, built by the emperor Tiberus in the First century AD. Above the town stands a castle, built in the 10 century. Visits here must not be missed!
A wide range of festivities take place in Sommieres, including the Medieval fair in April, and the Town Saint´s fair in the summer. You can also visit Sommieres´ well known weekly market which takes place on Saturdays. This served as the set during the filming of the French film "Manon des Sources".
Outside of Sommieres, you are 25 minutes from Nimes, which boast fantastic sightseeing with it´s Roman Amphitheatres and Baths, and 25 minutes from Montpellier with great shopping, dining and Street theatre in it´s grand square. For the Nature lovers - the Mediterranean Sea is 20 mins away (there are a number of beaches in the region which are between 20 and 30 minutes from Sommieres). There is also the National Park of Cevennes, which offers great walks, bike rides, bamboo plantation in Anduze, an old train line and other surprises.

Great stay
We had a great stay at Villa Riviera, very welcome; the accommodation and services are in accordance with the descriptions and photos: very good quality. Our hosts were very hospitable, friendly, available and good advice for exploring the area. The villa is ideal for a relaxing stay while being close to tourist sites. We highly recommend!

Could have stayed longer
We had a very nice stay at this villa. We were welcomed with a bottle of wine from the region and some other local food products. There is a lot to do. Its a pretty and charming village. The villa is brand new, very stylish and cosy. They thought about everything. The private garden was amazing with a jacuzzi in it. Also the swimming pool was a perfect place to get rest. We could have stayed there a lot longer. We hope to come back sometimes. The owners are very friendly and helpful in finding activities to explore in the neighbourhood. They give you the privacy that you want but they are always there for questions. Thanks for everything!

There is a 25% non refundable deposit upon booking. Balance payable 8 weeks before arrival. €500 security deposit returned within 14 days of departure.The property is not suitable for children under 16 years old due to open swimming pool without security alarm.
