This ground floor apartment is part of a restored 14th Century stone property, converted into three self-contained apartments. La Cour apartment can sleep 2-4 people in 1 bedroom. The apartment comes with Wi-Fi and accessible for disabled and elderly guests.
The popular Provence town of Uzes is just 2km away and Nimes is 20km. The world famous Pont du Gard Roman aqueduct is just down the road.
Cheap apartments to rent South France - our opinion:
Last visited May 2020. The apartment is cool and private and has a lovely private patio area with table and chairs. With it`s proximity to Uzes, Avignon and the Pont du Gard, this South France holiday apartment is ideally situated to explore the local area. This apartment can be rented in conjunction with the 2 other apartments if you are travelling as part of a larger group. Great value accommodation in the South of France.

There are many things to see and do around theses St Maximin gites for rent in France. Within easy visiting distance of the magic places of Provence are Avignon, Nimes, Aix-en-Provence, St.Remy, Les Baux, Gordes, Roussillon, Menerbes, Lisle-sur-la-Sorgue, Fontaine-de-Vaucluse, Lourmain - and the host of little villages which lie between. The incomparable city of Avignon is 25 minutes away by car, and Pont du Gard, the famous 2000 year old Roman aqueduct is just 5 km away. Uzes, which boasts the best open air market in Provence, held every Saturday, is even closer. Experience the marvels of Provence: sun, blue skies, olive groves, fields of lavender and poppies, ancient stone villages, wonderful wines, food markets, sunflowers, siestas and cicadas.
The village of St Maximin has a restaurant/cafe open for lunch and diner (you must reserve it is very popular) and you can order bread for the morning. The nearest supermarket is a 10 minute walk.

Lovely apartment
Debra and Verna`s lovely apartment was the perfect base for exploring this lovely part of the world. The hosts were knowledgeable about the area, and helped us with tips on the local markets. They left swimming towels for us for the local river (the Gard) which was a really nice touch. My mother, who is in the middle of a 3 month trip staying in airbnbs in Portugal, Italy and France, said it was the nicest one she had stayed in, with the most thoughtful hospitable hosts. Gorgeous bed linens, a stocked pantry and fruitbowl and tranquil terrace and atmospheric stone walls and ceiling added to our stay. The restaurant in the village is very very good, and there is also the opportunity for dinner to be arranged with Debra and Verna`s friends across the lane- not to be missed!
