The village of Bargemon is typically French, with lots of charm, a central square with pavement cafes, water fountains, narrow streets, shuttered houses and ancient ramparts. Nice airport is a 1 hour drive and in 40 minutes you can be on the beach at Frejus or Sainte-Maxime within 1 hour. The famous Gorges du Verdon is also located close-by.

Bargemon is a charming and picturesque village in Provence which retains the original 12th Century gates and fortifications. It abounds in fountains, shaded squares and restaurants where you can sit outside and enjoy the atmosphere. It has a small weekly market and boasts two boulangeries, a small supermarket, a butcher, newsagents, tabac, greengrocers, florists, bank, dentist, doctor`s surgery and a pharmacy. There are many beautiful medieval hilltop villages nearby, each have their own charm, most have a weekly market. Tennis is available in Bargemon and boating at Lac St. Cassien.
There are many good walks nearby and for the really energetic a Grande Randonee along the base of the Gorge du Verdon or, for those not so energetic a drive along the spectacular rim of the gorge. Cycles can be hired in Bargemon. Skiing is possible in the Southern Alps, 1hr 30 min away. The coast and beaches are within easy reach, as are St. Tropez, St. Raphael, Cannes and Antibes.
There are Cote de Provence wines to sample at Figanieres and perfumes to sample in Grasse. A car is essential to explore this wonderfully unspoilt area of Provence and also enables you to sample Provencal cuisine in the many and varied restaurants.

Apartment is perfect
We had a wonderful stay in Bargemon. The apartment was perfect. It is very comfortable and we loved the kitchen and patio. We really like the area - it really is a beautiful and special place. We hope to visit it again one day. Comfortable apartment.

Enjoyed our stay
Thank you so much for letting us stay in your lovely apartment. We really enjoyed ourselves, and Bargemon was just as beautiful as you said! Although the weather wasn`t as good as it is supposed to be at this time of year, we still managed to get some sunshine (so we could sit on the upper terrace and enjoy some sun!) and explore the area as well. Everyone in Bargemon was also very friendly, and the kids had lots of fun practising their French in the bakery! We loved the apartment. The view out of the windows in the main bedroom and from the lounge is It had everything we needed. The terrace is great to sit on for a morning coffee or to have a glass of wine in the evening. The views are also out of this world.

Loved the apartment in Bargemon
Just a short note to say that we loved the apartment in Bargemon and we had a super holiday there. Your property was ideal, very well appointed, clean and it was so nice not to have to buy the little things too, like washing up liquid, salt and so on. The beds were really comfortable and so, yes, we had a super time. Joanna was very helpful and a pleasure to deal with also. Bargemon was a lovely place, just the right size with enough of a variety of very good restaurants and a couple of bars and a good boulangerie and also charcuterie. We shared the upper terrace with probably the smallest tortoise I have ever seen! It seemed to live under the shed and came out to munch on the plant life. It was very cute! So thank you for everything. Well appointed apartment. Clean. Comfortable beds. Having the terrace and wonderful views. Bargemon is a delightful place.

The booking policies for this Var holiday gite in Provence, France, are as follows:
A deposit of 50% of the total rental value is payable at the time of booking plus a fully refundable (housekeeper will check the apartment as you leave) damages deposit of 400 Euros is also payable at the time of booking. The remaining 50% of total rental value is payable 6 weeks before commencement of rental period. Please note that the house is a non-smoking area.
