This beautiful South France holiday home is nestled in the centre of the beautiful village of St Maximin, just a few minutes from the historical town of Uzes, France. This large holiday home is covered in vines and comes with a wonderful walled garden, a shared swimming pool and a large terrace.
This charming holiday home on the edge of Provence, can sleep up to 9 people comfortably and is a wonderful place to have a large family holiday. The terrace is very large and is perfect for those al-fresco meals whilst soaking in that Summer sun!

Last visited May 2021. This imposing 18th Century village mansion provides spacious accommodation for up to 9 people. The holiday home comes with a beautiful terrace and large swimming pool.
With it´s proximity to Uzes, Avignon and the Pont du Gard this Provence holiday home near the beautiful town of Uzes in France, is ideally situated to explore the local area.
A chef can be arranged to provide a beautiful evening meal or lunch, fully catered. A tour to the local Provencal markets can also be reserved.
Option to rent the adjoining property to sleep 17-18 people in total.

The village of Saint-Maximin, close to Uzes, France, is a beautiful little village. The village is surrounded by vineyards and fruit orchards. In the village itself, there is a very good restaurant and bar, a shop and a wine cellar. There is lots to do near this Provence holiday rental France:
UZES (within 5 minutes): is a beautiful town with wonderful shops, art galleries, dozens of bars and restaurants and a fabulous Saturday Market that takes over the whole town, with not only the freshest produce available, but everything else Provence is famous for.
AVIGNON (25 minutes): Famous for the Palais des Papes, its summer festival, its museums and of course its famous bridge
NIMES: the Roman town of Nimes still has a fully in-tact Roman arena, the World famous Maison Carre and an internationally renowned art museum.
THE PONT DU GARD (8 minutes): A 2,000 year old, Roman-built aqueduct of grandiose proportions. One of France`s most visited monuments.

There is a brand new TGV train station in Nimes - which is just a short taxi ride/bus journey to St Maximin and Uzes.

Driving directions
To reach this Uzes holiday rental France, Uzes take the A9 and exit at junction 23 signed Uzes. Follow the directions to Uzes until you see a signpost directing you to the village of Saint Maximin, just 4 kms before Uzes itself.
We came back!
We had to come back to this amazing place after visiting 3 years ago. It is best enjoyed with a larger group and the facilities and accommodation are just perfect for the occasion. The hosts are fantastic, and so much fun to be had in this very special place of French history and 17th century architecture. The pool, dining areas and large decks under shelter or the vines are so relaxing, and there is plenty of room for everyone. The village is very special, and so convenient to all leisure activities or exploring. You will not be disappointed.
