This is an ideal base for a family holiday with sandy Mediterranean beaches 20 minutes away - visit Grau d'Agde, Portiragnes Plage and Valras Plage. As an alternative to the beach for the children their is 'Aqualand', a giant water park in the chic resort of Cap d'Agde.

Tourbes which has all essentail amenities such as grocery shop, tobacconists / newsagent, restaurant, cafe, bar, wine cave, butcher and chemist.There is a small market on a Wednesday which has a fish stall and a greengrocer.Also in the village is a park with children's play area, tennis courts and boules court.The award-winning cave is open for wine tasting in the week and Saturdays until midday. It sells local wines either on draft or by the bottle.

The villa is loacted amongst the vineyards of Languedoc Roussillon. Some of the best wines in the South of France can be found within a short drive - St Chinian, Faugeres, Picpoul de Pinet, Minervois and Fitou. The Languedoc Roussillon coast is a short drive away with some of the best beaches in the South of France to be found 20 minutes from the villa.

In the village of Tourbes there is an excellent restaurant and in nearby Valros there is the reknowned Auberge de la Tour. Pezenas also offers a host of good restaurants including L'Entre Pots, Le Printemps and La Palmiere. The village has a range of shops including a baker, butcher, newsagent, grocer, post office, pharmacy, tourist office, hairdresser, bar, and medical centre.

A 5 minute drive from the lively medival town of Pezenas, home of Moliere, with its period architecture and a great choice of restaurants, pavement cafes, art galleries, museums, boutiques and a super Saturday market.

The Canal du Midi, listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESO is 15 minutes away. The canal is ideal for hiring barges, cycling or walking along the towpath.

Set in beautiful scenery 12 minutes towards Beziers is Saint-Thomas golf course which offers 18-holes for all levels of players throughout the year.

There is superb walking available in the Montagnes Noires, there is also Lac Salagou for wonderful freshwater lake swimming and water sports.

Close by are the cities of Beziers (15mins), Montpellier (50mins), Carcassonne (60mins) and Nimes (90mins). Further afield are Provence, Andorra and Barcelona.

 

Booking details for this villa near Beziers, Languedoc Roussillon:

During the high season reservations are taken from Saturday to Saturday. At other times it is possible to arrive and depart on different days (please enquire).

A 25% deposit is taken at the time of booking. All rental instructions including obtaining the keys and contact details for the Property Manager are provided once a booking has been confirmed.
