Maison Papillon is a charming 17th century holiday cottage in France, situated in the centre of Pezenas, one of the most beautiful towns in southern France. This holiday cottage in France is located just fifteen minutes drive to sandy beaches, the Mediterranean sea, and the town is surrounded by the vineyards of Faugeres, Picpoul de Pinet and Saint Chinian. The house sleeps 2-4 (and baby) over three floors of living, dining and sleeping space. The property is minutes walk to shops, restaurants, bars, art galleries and the beautiful church Saint Jean.

Maison Papillon comprises a traditional ground floor kitchen and dining area with a cosy daybed to relax and read a book. The kitchen is small, but adequately equipped with an oven, two-ring hob and large pantry space to prepare your favourite French food! A large fridge/freezer and washing machine comprises the rest of the kitchen.

Through a door from the kitchen a spiral stone stairwell leads up to the first floor. Here is a large living room, with shuttered windows that open onto a small balconette. The balcony overlooks the pretty winding street with its array of colourful shutters and floral window boxes. This room is perfect to unwind, enjoy a glass of wine or listen to some music. It also doubles as a second/guest bedroom with a double sofabed, complete with full mattress and linen supplied.

On the top floor you will find the masterbedroom is a spacious and airy room, covering the full top floor with three windows allowing views across the tiled rooftops, as well as plenty of light and air. With space to rest, to dress and relax it is a lovely room for a couple, and if necessary allows ample space for a baby's cot.

Free parking in a number of carparks less than five minutes walk from the house.

Last visited July 2009. This holiday accommodation in Pezenas is conveniently located to explore the sites of Languedoc Roussillon and the South of France. Maison Papillon is also very convenient for the beach, the Canal du Midi or exploring the mountains and countryside. The gite is also within easy striking distance of Montpellier, Beziers & Narbonne. Recently refurbished this property is light and airy and will accommodate up to 4 people with ease. It is situated a 1 minuite walk to the centre of town.
