The house, maison Delacroix, was built in the 1700s and extends over four floors:
First floor: The fully equipped kitchen comes with a stove and oven, fridge-freezer, microwave, dishwasher (built-in in the lounge) and washing machine. There are dishes for 8-12 people so you do not need to run the dishwasher so often. Cookbooks available if you need inspiration for your own cooking! The dining room comfortably seats 4-6 people. The Dining room has Patio doors which lead out onto a French balcony with a view of the market street below.
Second floor: There are two spacious bedrooms with solid oak floors, one with a double bed and one with two single beds. One of the bedrooms has an en-suite toilet and shower. Both rooms have spacious closets.
Third floor: Here you will find a large bedroom with the preserved old stone floor. This bedroom has a double bed and also offers great views over the rooftops from the French balcony. Just outside the bedroom, there is a small bathroom with shower.
Fourth floor: On the top floor you will find the lounge. The lounge contains two large sofas and a flat screen TV. Here you can enjoy a glass of wine after a busy day of shopping or perhaps relaxing afterday at the beach.

This gite rental, France, is located in the centre of the historic town of Pézenas. The property is situated on the main market street in the town. Pézenas is described in the Rough Guide as one of the most singularly beautiful towns in the French Southwest, and in addition to an important Saturday market, there are numerous events staged in the town during an extended season. While the old town with a good selection of shops and restaurants and its historic building trail is about 1km away, there is a large supermarket within 3 minutes walk.

The property is within easy driving reach of long, sandy Mediterranean beaches (Marseillan Plage 24km) and has quick access to the A9 and A75 autoroutes, providing fast links to the many attractions abounding in the Languedoc-Roussillon and Cevennes areas. Indeed the gite is very easy to find, being within 1km of the end of the A75 autoroute, toll-free from Clermont-Ferrand except for the newly opened and spectacular newly opened Millau Viaduct. The vibrant port town of Cap d'Agde is only a 20 minute drive away.
