This holiday cottage, France is a 300 year old "maison de village" set in the historic centre of Nezignan L"Eveque, a pretty village nestled amongst vineyards, near Pezenas in the Languedoc region of the South of France. This holiday cottage, France, was recently renovated and refurbished. It is bright and airy with lots of natural light. This is a traditional compact holiday cottage with 6 rooms, plus 2 toilets and sleeps up to 4 people in 2 bedrooms. This Holiday cottage, France, is also available for long term rentals.

This Holiday cottage, France is set on 3 levels. The ground floor has a kitchen with washing machine, tumble dryer, cooker, microwave, fridge, toaster, kettle, iron and. There is a small breakfast table for eating. Also on the ground floor is a separate toilet and a bathroom with double sinks, bath and shower.
The first floor contains the dining room with a table and seating for 6 people and a living room with a bed settee and comfy seating.
On the top floor of this holiday cottage, France, there are 2 bedrooms with double beds and a toilet. The back bedroom offers wonderful views of the village and the next village.
There are heaters for the cooler months and 2 folding bikes for cycling in the surrounding vineyards. The house has the benefit of being next to a little courtyard, where you can eat and drink on a summer''s night. There is a wooden table and chairs stored in the kitchen that you can place out there, as well as a portable BBQ. There is also a seat in front of the house, where you can sit and watch the world go by.

Last visited Dec 2009. This holiday cottage, France, is a wonderful, comfortable and cosy property in a lovely village near Pezenas. It is practical and has everything you need for a holiday or long term rental The property is on a quiet street with plenty of parking. It is ideal if you want to find self-catering accommodation close to all the facilities of Pezenas but still be situated amongst vineyards. Nezignan l"Eveque is a convenient location to explore the historic and cultural attractions of Languedoc Roussillon. The accommodation is also very convenient for beaches, the Canal du Midi or exploring the mountains and countryside.

This holiday cottage, France, is in Nezignan l"Eveque which has a range of shops including a baker, mobile butcher, newsagent, grocer, post office, tourist office, hairdresser, beauticians, bar, medical centre and a hotel which has a very good restaurant, where you can also have a cool drink in the courtyard in the summer. The village holds a Music and Wine Festival every July. Other celebrations include Fete L"Ete (June), Bastille (July), Fete Local (July) and Fete des Vendanges (October). Take a walk along the historic route around the village.
It is an ideal spot for a holiday with sandy Mediterranean beaches 20 minutes away - visit Grau d"Agde, La Tamarissiere, Portiragnes Plage and Valras Plage on the Mediterranean or Meze on the Etang de Thau, where oysters are cultivated. Meze and nearby Bouzigues and Marseillan are pretty villages with a good range of restaurants and cafes. An alternative to the beach for the children is "Aqualand", a giant water park in the chic resort of Cap d"Agde.
The surrounding area is a wine lover"s paradise with a multitude of local vineyards providing some excellent wines. A 5 minute drive from the lively medieval town of Pezenas, home of Moliere, with its period architecture and a great choice of restaurants, pavement cafes, art galleries, museums, boutiques and a super Saturday market, where you can buy local oysters, fresh fruit and vegetables and flowers.
The Canal du Midi, listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESO is 15 minutes away. The canal is ideal for hiring barges, cycling or walking along the towpath. Set in beautiful scenery 12 minutes towards Beziers is Saint-Thomas golf course which offers 18-holes for all levels of abilities throughout the year. There is superb walking available in the Montagnes Noires. Nearby Lac Salagou is a wonderful freshwater lake for swimming and water sports. Close by are the cities of Beziers (15 mins), Montpellier (50 mins), Carcassonne (60 mins), Perpignan (60 mins) and Nimes (90 mins).
